April Powell is a freshman at C. D. Hylton Senior High School and this is her first year writing for The Watchdog. April plans to write news stories about school events and opinion pieces. Outside of school, April likes to read and paint. In the future, she would like to attend New York University's law program and go on to become a criminal defense attorney.
