Top Places To Visit This Holiday Season

The National Christmas Tree was lit December 2, 2021.

The holiday season always comes with new events to experience with family and friends all across the nation so here are some things to look forward to in our area!

One of the biggest attractions this year is the Union Station in D.C. The Union Station, which is the second busiest train station after the Penn station in New York, is decorated every year along with a tree lighting. There is a holiday train display in the west hall alongside a plethora of stores.

If you are still looking for Christmas gifts there are bazaars popping up around D.C. worth visiting. The Downtown D.C. holiday market has been going on since November 19 and will last until December 23 everyday from 12 pm to 8 pm. If you’re looking for more international gifts the Swedish Christmas Bazaar might interest you but the date is TBD.

If you’re into animals, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo has a zoo lighting event. There are over 500,000 lights in the shape of different animals. The zoo also has shops in case you need a gift for an animal lover. There will also be live music along with the animals so be sure to grab a parking spot before they’re all out.
