Venom Review (NO SPOILERS)

Venom played by Tom Hardy

As the summer blockbuster season settles down we are seeing less and less movies but there are still a few hits to watch right now in theaters. Venom had previously been set to release later this year however, the success of Shang-Shi motivated Sony to release Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The movie is only available in theaters and not on any streaming sites which may be the reason that the second Venom had a 15% box office drop from the original.

The movie however is highly acclaimed by fans and critics alike. I don’t want to spoil it so the details here are low.

We do see a few familiar faces in the movie. Obviously there is Eddie Brock played by Tom Hardy and the alien parasite venom also voiced by Tom Hardy. Eddie Brock’s love interest, Anne Weying played by Michelle Willams makes a return. A new face we see is Cletus Kasady played by Woody Harrelson. In my opinion Woody Harrelson had an amazing performance and honestly stole the show.

One of the most talked about scenes in this movie actually comes after the credits. My entire theater broke out,  there were people clapping, some people stood up and I think I heard a man scream. Venom is most definitely a must watch for the fall season (preferably in 3D, trust me it changes the entire experience.)

Final rating: 8/10
