New schedule to be implemented this week

School will be a little bit different this Tuesday…

With the approval of the Prince William County School Board, ninth-graders who opt-in will be returning to Hylton High School in-person, and a new schedule will be implemented for both in-person and virtual students beginning Feb. 23.

Under the guidance of the new schedule, students will be starting school at 7:30 am every day and leaving at 1:40 pm, and will have altered lunch periods and class meeting dates.

Students will now have their first-period class every day and have even days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and their odd day classes on Thursdays and Fridays, with Mondays remaining asynchronous. Lunch periods will also be changed to reflect the previous in-person system from last year. Students in English, CTE, FACS, and Study Hall will have Lunch A from 10:10-10:30 am, students in Math, World Languages, Music, and SPED will have Lunch B from 10:40-11:00 am, students in Social Studies, Business, and Gifted Education will have Lunch C from 11:10-11:30 am, and students in Science, PE, and AFJROTC will have Lunch D from 11:40-12 pm.
