  • Take your partner or friends to Build-A-Bear WorkshopBuild-A-Bear Workshop currently has two sales both in-stores and online. The 2 for 1 (in-stores) and 25% off furry friends with code LOVEBAB. Also, visit the “GIFT SHOP” tab and “Valentine’s Day Gifts” for the special Valentine’s Day bears.



  • Get together on Zoom or in-person and write letters to your future selves on the website FutureMe. Search up prompt ideas for what to write in the letters. This is a great personal way to reflect on current life and look forward to the future.


  • Make a time capsule! Fill the time capsule with pictures and objects significant to your current life and those around you. See this wikiHow article for inspiration.


  • Make Valentine’s Day crafts together! The kid’s craft kits from Michaels craft store are simple but fun to make!


Fun & Silly

  • If partners or friends are not able to get together in-person, there are still plenty of fun virtual games to play on Zoom. Backyard.co has a plethora of games and a facetime feature! Skribbl.io is a Pictionary-like game to play with friends!


  • Compete in Buzzfeed quizzes together. Buzzfeed has a Love Quizzes but any and all quizzes are fun! 


  • Valentine’s day is a sweet holiday, so create a sweet dessert together in person or over Zoom! This Delish gallery has over 70 recipes to choose from, and this Food Network gallery has 50 delicious desserts to enjoy this February 14!


  • Building a puzzle with a partner or friends is fun! Jigsawpuzzles.io allows someone to host a puzzle game and friends can join!


  • Celebrate with a 2-in-1 food and movie marathon! Choose each other’s favorite snacks and drinks and enjoy them over classic valentine’s day movies!

Active & Outdoor


  • If weather permits have a picnic at nearby parks such as Occoquan Regional Park or one of the many DC parks! Also outdoor, hiking on nearby trails! (Make sure to be safe and wear warm clothing)


  • The nightlife at National Harbor and the view on the Capital Wheel is surely a romantic and fun place to be this February 14.
