What is Going on with Spider-Man 3?

So far we have gotten 3 Spider-Man over the past 18 years. Unless you want to count Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse too, then 5. It seems like they’re actually going to stop with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man now because Spider-Man 3 is going to be the craziest one yet. From being left on a cliff hanger to bringing back old characters, Spider-Man 3 is going to be interesting.

For starters, Jamie Foxx, who has been in many films like Just Mercy and Project Power and his new movie to come out soon Soul, is going to reprise his role as Electro! The last time we saw Electro was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 where he had faced Spider-Man alongside Rhino and Green Goblin. The last time we saw Electro, he met his demise by being overcharged like a battery and exploding right after.  Jamie Foxx had confirmed he was going to return as the electricity-based villain a few weeks ago and with that, the internet had blown up. The world had been shocked when the MCU had brought back J.K. Simmons, who has been in many films like Whiplash and alongside the late Chadwick Boseman in 21 Bridges, as the hilarious Daily Bugle boss, J. Jonah Jameson.

The next big thing is that Dr. Strange will also star in Spider-Man 3. Not only is he going to fight alongside him as he did in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Dr. Strange is going to play a mentor role. Basically, he is going to be a mentor for Peter Parker like the late Tony Stark was. As any Marvel fan would know when the Sorceror Supreme is going to appear, let alone star as a major role, there is going to be a plethora of interesting characters and words that no one will understand even if they tried their hardest. Who in the world actually knows what “The Images of Ikonn” and “The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak” are?

Now for the news that took fans by surprise and something we can only imagine in our wildest dreams, Tobey Maguire, Spider-Man (2002-2007), and Andrew Garfield, The Amazing Spider-Man (2012-2014), are going to appear in Spider-Man 3 alongside Tom Holland. What started off as just rumors, it has been confirmed that both past webslingers will in the Spider-Man: Far From Home Sequel, obviously reprising their roles as the old Spider-Men from the past movies. It must be pretty awkward how Sony had dropped the other two Peter Parkers and are now bringing them back to star as their once Spider-Man personas.

Spider-Man 3 will be the second Spider-Man since 2007 with Tobey Maguire. This movie might be one of the greatest Spider-Man movies there will ever be. Pretty soon, the title will be dropped for the movie. For now, everyone is going to keep guessing what the title will be. Judging from the first two movies, we know that one of the words will be “Home”. From what it looks and sounds like, this might be a fun one.
