I’m also thankful for the staff who are great writers and great friends. Outside of school, I’m thankful for my mother and family, who have always pushed me to pursue my dreams.” -Gianna Jirak, Editor-in-Chief

“I am thankful for the fantastic people in my life. Certain people can make or break your entire day, so I’m thankful for the good people in my life. The ones that stayed down for me, and the ones that stayed honest and didn’t try to start drama for no reason. Lastly, I am thankful for my family. They will always be there for me, and for that, I can never thank them enough. I’m extremely thankful for the people in my life now.” -Nida Khan, Staff Writer

“I am thankful for all of the opportunities I’ve been granted in my life, and the people that I have gotten to meet. All of the experiences I have had and all of the different things I’ve encountered have really shaped me in so many different ways and my life truly wouldn’t be the same if I had not had them.” – Victoria Miranda, Staff Writer

“I’m thankful for the second chances I have been graced with this year. 2018 was a rough time for my family financially which resulted in a home displacement situation. Last month we were fortunate enough to finally move into a new home where we were all underneath the same roof after a year of separation. A close friend of ours had moved out of his house and knew of our situation, so he was kind enough to offer us his home once he had moved out. I will forever be thankful for the second chance he gave my family.” – Makayla Jerez, Staff Writer.

“I’m thankful for my son Jayden, my students, family and health. My students and son bring purpose and meaning to each day! Jayden is my biggest dream come true; he keeps me motivated and balanced. I owe so much to my caring, supportive boyfriend who always has my back and is willing to do anything and everything for Jayden and me. His encouragement and support made it possible for me to begin and complete the Educational Leadership Certificate. I appreciate the administrators who support my professional growth, especially Principal Cassady, Mrs. Nye, Mr. Switzer and Mrs. Campagna. I’m grateful to live in a world class city and work for a world class school division.”  -Ms. Brittany Bauccio, Adviser
